Together with Cisco Corp., we operate NetAcad (Cisco’s Social Digital Academy) - an educational program to strengthen digital skills for young men and women within our Smile Academy.
Cisco NetAcad is an international digital skills training program oriented towards Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). It is designed to provide knowledge and resources required at a theoretical and practical level to cope successfully in the field of new technologies and the digital economy.
The goal of the Cisco NetAcad Social Digital Academy is to offer their educational programs to vulnerable social groups. These programs are free to all, as are all the educational programs offered at the Smile Academy.
The Cisco NetAcad program operates on the Internet supporting an e-learning platform for learning. All programs have been developed by Cisco and are available asynchronously to support learning at will. The Smile of the Child provides additional assistance to the students by offering live online meetings with Greek-speaking volunteer trainers, who assist in explaining the curriculum or to respond to student questions.
The Academy offers digital skills in a tiered-program: beginners, intermediary, advance, and specialized computer courses if requested.
