116000 European Network

The European Hotline for Missing Children 116000, institutionalized on the EU-level upon an initiative of “The Smile of the Child”, operates in Greece from 2007.

The necessity to promote and extent the availability of the European Hotline for Missing Children 116000 was the objective of the project “116000 European Network” that was awarded in 2009 by the European Union and it was coordinated by Missing Children Europe.

The project’s duration was two years and “The Smile of the Child” retains is contribution to the development of the 116000 Hotline in the entire Europe.
