Federation for Missing and Sexually Exploited Children (MCE)

"The Smile of the Child" is founding member of the European Federation for Missing and Sexually Exploited Children (MCE), with headquarters in Brussels, comprising of 30 members in 26 countries. By being a member of the network, "The Smile of the Child" is able to work closely with other European organizations in eliminating sexual and psychological exploitation of children and locate missing children across Europe. The common European number 116000 for missing children has been given to the Organization and is operating since 2008 as the European Hotline for Missing Children, in 29 states (27 EU Member States plus Albania and Serbia). Each country’s hotline operates 24 hours a day and calls are free of charge.
