Homes for children in danger V

"The Smile of the Child" implements the action "Homes for children in danger V" funded under the program “Home Affairs Funds” of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum. The project aims at providing an adequate framework for the protection and care of unaccompanied minors and the preparation for their autonomy and includes financing of the running costs of two existing Homes of “The Smile of the Child” located in Nea Iraklitsa, Kavala, for unaccompanied refugee children.

The operation of the Homes is based on the long - term experience of "The Smile of the Child" that operates at a national level and ensures holistically the family care and warmth for refugee unaccompanied minors who are at great risk of being persecuted, disappearance victims of trafficking or smuggling.

The duration of the project is twelve months (from 01.08.2023 to 31.07.2024).

The project is funded under the program “"Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund” of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum.
