50 Euros gives a child the gifts that all children in Greece receive from their godparents at Easter.
Of course all children cherish their godparents! And if you ask when they feel the most love for their godparents - most will say Easter. The Easter tradition is for the godparents to present their godchild on the Thursday before Easter with a gift that consists of a beautiful Easter candle; the largest Easter egg with a toy hidden within; and the most fashionable shoes.
Unfortunately, not all children at our homes have godparents, or godparents that can afford a gift. Wouldn’t you like to be a godparent for one of our children this year, or for a child living in a family with financial constraints? Your donation of 50 euros will give one child out of the 1100 we support the Easter of their dreams!
