"The Smile of the Child" next to its adult children

Since 1997, when the first Home for children victims of all forms of violence was put into operation, "The Smile of the Child” has been raising hundreds of children, many of them right from birth. As time flies every year children enter into adulthood and move on with their lives, while “The Smile of the Child" and the people who raised them keep standing by their side by all means.

After so many years we are proud of our children, some of whom have now become parents themselves. Next to our adult children are always present and ready to support them the people who raised them, as well as a specialized team of Social Workers and Psychologists, in the framework of a holistic support to meet their multifaceted needs.

Providing security to children, as well as equal opportunities until they reach their full potential and are ready to stand on their own feet, are major priorities of our Organization.

We stand next to every adult child, providing:

• Emotional support,
• Financial assistance,
• Compassionate counselling,
• Accommodation in fully equipped apartments,
• Response to the special needs of each student nationwide
• Help in their job search in accordance with their inborn inclinations and desires,

Our adult children serve as role models and set standards for their siblings, as well as for all the children they grew up together. They strive towards attaining their goals, prepare for their final exams, continue with their studies, take on new challenges, while the "The Smile of the Child" remains their point of reference. The most important thing of all is that the children go on with their lives still feeling and acting as members of the House family in which they grew up.
