Healthcare is the cornerstone of the services of «The Smile of the Child» which provides medical services to children with any form of health issue. In 2009 the Coordinating Center of the action «Support to Children with Health problems» was inaugurated and is housed at the 3rd floor of «ΤΖΕΝΙ ΚΑΡΕΖΙ» foundation, close to Athens Children’s Hospitals.

The department is staffed by a Scientific Responsible, the doctor of the Organization, Social Workers, Psychologist, Pedagogue, and doctors Volunteers of different specialties. The department constitutes the coordinating Center for the transfers of newborns and children with the Ambulances of the Organization, the «Care at Home», the Recreational Activities and the Preventive Medicine. The National Helpline for Children SOS 1056 is available at the Center and operates 24 hours, on a daily basis, staffed with specialized personnel and it can interconnect at any moment the specialists needed for addressing the problems that arise. In cooperation with our Offices in Thessaloniki, Patras, Pyrgos, Tripoli, Corinth and Chlakida we support children with health problems across Greece, providing social and psychological support.
