Radio network

"The Smile of the Child" in order to ensure communication between its actions, and under any circumstances, disposes a telecommunication capacity of a specific radio network, which services operate through repeater systems installed on the mount of Parnitha and Hymettus in Athens.

The antennas of the radio network have been installed under the auspices of the Fire Service and the Hellenic Air Force.

All the areas of the Organization, the emergency vehicles, the Mobile Medical Units of Intensive Care for newborns and children, the Units of Preventive Medicine etc. are equipped with desktop and portable UHF transceivers to ensure the smooth communication, which is essential in the everyday life, but also in exceptional and difficult circumstances e.g. in the event of an earthquake, a fire. The Lines 1056, 116000 and 116111, operated by the Organization, are in constant communication with the radio network.
