From Stockholm to the Panhellenic Coordinating Operational Center for Direct Social & Medical Intervention "Andreas Giannopoulos" of "The Smile"

On Tuesday, April 18th, we had the pleasure once again to welcome at the Panhellenic Coordinating Operational Center for Direct Social & Medical Intervention "Andreas Giannopoulos" students and their chaperones from DIS Stockholm – an educational institution that provides an innovative model for studying abroad.

Twenty-three students and their two chaperones visited our facilities and got to know the activities and work of the Organization with the help of the people of "The Smile". The President of the BoD of the Organization, Mr. Costas Yannopoulos, welcomed the visitors and made an introduction about "The Smile of the Child", its history and its actions, which made a special impression on the group, who thanked him for his warm welcome.

Then, staff members of “The Smile” debriefed the students during small break-out group sessions in more detail about on the services of the Organization, including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and its 4 Hot/helplines [1056, 116000,161111, 1017] as well as its Prevention actions, the 11 Homes for Children, the “House of the Child” Day Center, which offers Customized Mental Health Services for Children and Adolescents, and the volunteering activities of adults, children, adolescents and groups. In addition, a tour of the studio of "YouSmile" - the European Student Volunteer Network of “The Smile”- was given, along with a short presentation of the Network.

We thank DIS Stockholm for being, once again, on the side of the Organization, and for demonstrating in practice their trust in the work and actions of the Organization, on the occasion of every visit of its students, during which they also make a donation so that they can help too, in their own way, to ensure the Smile of every child.
