"The Smile of the Child": Non-Governmental Organization of the Year for Child Protection at the Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2023

"The Smile of the Child" was awarded as the Non-Governmental Organization of the Year 2023 in the field of Child Protection, at the annual Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2023.
An important award based on the work of the Organization and the fact that the services and actions it provided are reflected in absolutely measurable data.
The Award was received by the President of the Organization, Costas Yannopoulos, who said:
We are particularly honored by this award, which highlights the work, the reliability and the quality of the services we provide to every child and their family. It is very important that the measurable data of our services were a decisive factor for our nomination and it is important because it confirms our long-standing and stable practice of publishing the statistics of our actions on a semi-annual and annual basis, faithful to transparency and accountability to the Greek society.
In 2022 we supported 72,501 children and their families, an increase of 41% compared to 2021. In the first semester of 2023 we supported 60,468 children and their families, recording an increase of 56% compared to the first half of 2022, while in the same period we managed more than 114,000 calls to the 4 Helplines/Hotlines we operate.
Undoubtedly, the data are representative of our work, but equally important is the quality of the service we provided, the respect, the dignity and care, with which we surrounded every child who needed us.
What we have achieved is the result of the outstanding scientific team of our 467 employees, our 6.000 unique volunteers, and all those who trust and support our every effort.
"The Smile of the Child" belongs to children, belongs to society, supports institutions and I ask all of you to get to know us better, to visit us and to stand by our side so that together we can continue our essential work for children, young people and families. Because without all of you ... it cannot be done!
